Marea Britanie trebuie sa sfideze EU si sa se opuna deschiderii granitelor pentru români si bulgari

The first step should be defying the Brussels edict that Britain must fling open its borders to 29million Romanians and Bulgarians – many of whom will need social housing – on January 1 next year.

Thank God for Balls!

George Osborne should thank the Gods that the shadow chancellor is one Edward Michael Balls.

In a BBC interview, an increasingly spaced-out-looking Mr Balls robotically refused to acknowledge his constant doom-mongering about Britain slumping into a non-existent double or triple dip recession had been a mistake.

‘I am going to go on saying George Osborne’s plan has not worked. We have flat-lined’, he said on the day figures showed the economy had grown 0.6 per cent.

Such self-delusion is typical of a man who refuses to admit the last Labour government was ‘profligate’. Nor will he concede that, as a Treasury adviser and minister, he was one of the main architects of the great financial crash.

Truly, Mr Osborne is lucky to have Mr Balls. As long as he is shadow chancellor, Labour will not be taken seriously on an economy which is only now recovering from his last ruinous spell in charge.
